4rd Ludwigslust International Music Academy 2025
From July 29 to August 2, 2025, as part of the 4th International Music Academy Ludwigslust, masterclasses for flute, clarinet, bassoon, and voice will take place.
We are very much looking forward to welcoming young musical talents and guests from Germany and abroad to Ludwigslust once again.
The academy will kick off with the Pre-Concert on July 26, 2025, at 7:00 PM. On July 27, 2025, the “Workshop Concert” will follow at 5:00 PM, featuring music students from the KMS Ludwigslust-Parchim. Both concerts will take place at DeveLUP.
On July 29, 2025, the Opening Concert with the lecturers will begin at 7:30 PM in the Stadtkirche. The Final Concert will be held on August 2 at 3:00 PM in the Stadthalle Ludwigslust.
For the first time, woodwind players will be represented with masterclasses at the IML. Renowned and multiple award-winning soloists and educators will lead the courses: Prof. Jürgen Franz, flute (Hamburg); Prof. Norbert Kaiser, clarinet (Stuttgart); and Prof. Christian Kunert, bassoon (Hamburg).
For the vocal course, we are delighted to welcome mezzo-soprano Maren Maxeiner (Düsseldorf, Rostock).
The course is aimed at singers who wish to train as soloists or sing in choirs and is open to all genres, including jazz, pop, classical, and art song. Course instructor Maren Maxeiner has celebrated successes on major national and international stages, whether in opera or oratorios. In her teaching and vocal training, she places great importance on ensuring that the joy of singing always remains at the center.

Greetings from the Mayor:
Welcome to Ludwigslust and the International Music Academy. I particularly welcome all participating young musical talents. Ludwigslust is a city of short distances. I think not only the good conditions will convince you, but also the friendliness and proverbial warmth of Mecklenburgers will be an optimal environment for all contributors of the International Music Academy. We wish you happy making music and look forward to the concerts in our beautiful city church.
Stefan Pinnow, Mayor of Ludwigslust
